The Abbihl-Ahrens Charitable Foundation Fund

The Abbihl-Ahrens Charitable Foundation Fund was established in 2005 by Ruth C. Abbihl to benefit certain named charities in the Greater Cincinnati area, and to generally promote charity in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area.

Ruth Abbihl was born in the early 1900s. She graduated from teacher’s college and taught for many years in the American controlled Canal Zone in Panama. She loved to travel and traveled all over Central America prior to World War II.

Grant Applications. The Abbihl-Ahrens Charitable Foundation Fund does accept unsolicited grant applications. Grants made to organizations not specified upon the establishment of the Fund will generally be made only for specific projects and not for general operating funds.
